The Montréal Section has about 500 members, both French and English speaking, who share a common passion for the outdoors. The Section’s goal is to unite outdoor enthusiasts in Quebec who share a common interest for mountain activities. The Section is committed to help promote environmentally friendly behaviors by investing in eco-funds, funding other eco-organizations and organizing eco-awareness activities. It also actively assists other associations with the maintenance of trails and climbing areas and also on the negotiation front ensuring access to them and opening new ones.

Membership Rates

A $5 discount on the above rates will apply if a Section Membership is purchased at the same time as a National Membership. 

Huts And Other Activities

The Montréal Section owns 105 acres of meadow and woodlands in the Adirondack Forest Preserve in New York State. The property, known as Keene Farm, has a large two-storey log cabin which accommodates up to 35 people. It is open year round with a wood stove and propane gas heating and cooking.

The Section organizes outdoor activities and courses to improve technical, safety and leadership skills in the Montréal area and the mountain ranges of Quebec, New York, Vermont and New Hampshire.

Meetings and Socials

The Section hosts social events in pubs, annual BBQ at our Keene Hut, slide show presentations and much more.

Trip Schedule

The section offers a full range of Mountain sport activities including hiking, climbing, skiing and mountaineering. A trip schedule is posted on the Section website.
