We’re bringing back an ACC tradition with the GreenGreyWhite Photo Contest. This summer, over the course of three months, we’ll be giving away epic prizes from some of our partners for photos that best capture the themes of adventure, huts, and your ultimate summer “epic.” The contest is open to all ACC members.

Post a photo on your Instagram from an adventure you had this summer, tag us and use the hashtag #alpineclubofcanada by July 31st, and have a chance to win a Trail Lite 2 Tent and a Inferno 15F/-9C Sleeping Bag.
About the contest
Follow us on Instagram at @alpineclubcan, tag us, and use the hashtag #alpineclubofcanada to enter your images of adventure, outdoors and mountain community and to allow us to feature your image throughout the contest.
The winner each month will be the photographer of our favourite photo submitted. We’re looking for images that capture the GreenGreyWhite spirit, more than anything – images that portray the beauty of the spaces we play and the passion that people have for these environments. Why an Instagram contest?
The ACC is a big club – or rather 26 clubs. Our 19,000+ members and 26 sections from Vancouver Island to Newfoundland & Labrador to the Yukon are made up of passionate climbers, skiers and hikers. We’re all part of the same national club but we don’t see each other that much. GreenGreyWhite is our effort to connect our members in every corner of our country.
The ACC’s GreenGreyWhite photo contest is about showing Canada, the world and our own members what it is to be a part of the ACC. It’s a walk in the park, it’s a summer crag day, it’s a glacier ski, it’s a mountaineer’s peak, it’s anything that makes you get outside, smile and enjoy the outdoors.
What's Green Grey and White all about?
Green, Grey and White are the colours of the ACC’s brand, and represent the forests, rocks and snow/ice of the alpine environment where we recreate. These are the places our club has loved and skied, hiked and climbed in (as well as worked to protect) for over 120 years. GreenGreyWhite celebrates our sports, our club and our connected passion across Canada from coast to coast to coast. We want you to share your pride of the ACC and your pride of the Canadian outdoors. Your job is to take photos of your Green Grey and White adventures.

Right! We’ll be giving away a prize for our favourite image each month this summer (July, August, and September). What kind of prizes? We’ve got a stacked list of prizes coming your way for this summer. Think sleeping bags, tents, mountain radios, backpacks and jackets.
Each month’s winning image and runners up will also be shared on the @alpineclubcan Instagram account.

Contest Rules
- Entrants must be current members of The Alpine Club of Canada.
- By entering, the entrants warrant and represent the following with respect to their submission: (a) entrant is the sole and exclusive owner of the submission and its copyright; (b) photo was taken by the entrant and (c) the submission will not infringe on any rights of any third parties.
- By submitting an entry, entrants acknowledge and agree that all submissions will be added to the ACC’s photo library and as such may be reproduced and published (without notice or compensation, but with credit) by The Alpine Club of Canada, any electronic media and any printed material such as books, catalogues published by the ACC and affiliates, as well that an agreement has been secured from a third party copyright holder of the submission.
- Submissions may be cut, reformatted, rearranged, combined with other materials and/or otherwise modified. Participation in the contest and acceptance of prize constitute the winner’s permission (or that of the copyright holder) for The Alpine Club of Canada to use their names, photographs, biographical information, and/or any statements made by each winner regarding the contest without notice or additional compensation.
