The Calgary Section is a large section of over 1200 members involved in all facets of summer and winter mountaineering in the Canadian Rockies. An active and motivated group, the Section keeps a close eye on local and regional access and environment issues, primarily focused on the Bow Valley, the National Mountain Parks, and Kananaskis Country. As well, the Section library contains over 400 volumes including fiction, expedition journals, guidebooks and instructional guides.

Membership Rates

A $5 discount on the above rates will apply if a Section Membership is purchased at the same time as a National Membership.

Meetings and Socials

Members’ meetings are typically held once per month, beginning in November each year. Meetings often include slide shows and presentations and discussions of the trip schedules. Our meetings and socials are posted on our online calendar.

Guests who have immediate plans to travel to one of our huts in Jasper National Park please respect the wildfire closures. We will be in contact with guests affected by the closures shortly.

We are asking guests with future reservations at ACC huts in Jasper National Park to please be patient as the situation is evolving. We will update our guests on any future closures as we receive updates from the emergency response teams.
