The Karl Nagy memorial scholarship is to assist ACC trip leaders with their alpine mountaineering skills development. Applicants should be strong alpine leaders who would benefit from the chance to work with guides to develop their leadership skills in remote alpine environments where there is limited route information available. If you have already applied for a GMC volunteer leadership spot, you CAN still apply for the grant.

This scholarship grants you a spot as a volunteer leader at the ACC’s general mountaineering camp. Your flights into and out of camp will be covered as well as all of your food while at camp, accommodation will be provided in a private tent. You will be mentored by the guiding team while you assist in the daily mountaineering trips. Also provided is $500 to be used for Travel Expenses or gear relating to the camp to lower the barriers of attending the camp.

In addition, as part of this opportunity, recipients may be asked to send a thank-you letter and submit some photos or video of their time at the camp
