All proceeds from the 2025 Summit Bid Auction will directly support The Alpine Club of Canada Environment Grant, the Mountain Muskox, and the Simon Parboosingh Assistance Fund.

By supporting the protection of our natural environment and prioritizing the mental well-being of mountain professionals, we honour the landscapes that inspire us and the people who lead us through them. For members of the Alpine Club of Canada and the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides, this means coming together as a community to safeguard the places we explore and to support the guides and volunteers who make those experiences possible.

Simon Parboosingh Assistance Fund

The Simon Parboosingh Assistance Fund exists to provide ACMG members, staff, and volunteers with a source of emergency funding in the event of a personal crisis. Many ACMG members work independently and do not have access to the same benefits as employees.

History
Simon Parboosingh was a guide candidate participating on an assistant alpine guide exam when he was killed in an avalanche accident on Mt. Athabasca, in 1994. The Simon Parboosingh Assistance Fund was created in 1996 and has been supporting ACMG members through donations in his name ever since.

ACC Environment Fund

The ACC Environment Fund directly funds the environmental initiatives of the ACC’s grant recipients. These recipients undertake projects that contribute to the protection and preservation of mountain and climbing environments, including the preservation or alpine flora and fauna in their natural habitat.

Mountain Muskox

The Mountain Muskox offers peer-led support circles for those affected by loss or trauma in the mountains. With guidance from professional facilitators, they create safe, sustainable spaces for sharing, healing, and connection within the mountain community.
