This past May, Section representatives from across the country gathered in Canmore for the Alpine Club of Canada’s 2025 Section Forum – a weekend of reconnection, shared purpose, and forward-looking conversations supported by section representatives, ACC staff and board members.
2025 Canadian Alpine Journal
The 2025 Canadian Alpine Journal is now available for members to add to their Alpine Club of Canada membership as an upgrade. Members are able to add the CAJ until June 30, 2025. CAJs will be sent in July.

Living Lakes Canada: Collecting Data From Alpine Peaks to Valley Streams
High-elevation headwaters are the lifeblood for people and ecosystems alike. They provide the freshwater that pours through taps, supports the growth of food, and nurtures a diversity of freshwater species, including the iconic Kokanee Salmon.
ACC + MLP Repeat Photography Challenge
The amazing Mountain Legacy Project collects and compares photos to historic ones taken during surveys in the early 1900s to document the landscape differences over the course of a century. Help bring history into focus with the Mountain Legacy Project by recreating century-old mountain survey photos. If you’re hiking or climbing in one of nine select locations this summer, you can contribute by capturing aligned modern shots. Selected contributors will receive an ACC prize pack and have their images featured at the Summit Shaker this October.
