2025 Election Cycle Results

The 2025 Board Member election cycle has ended; the votes have been tallied and our new Board Members have been selected. We'd like to thank all candidates who participated in this year's election process as well as everyone who took the time to cast their votes.

We are pleased to announce the results of the 2025 election cycle for The Alpine Club of Canada Board of Directors:

Three positions were up for election in 2025: President, Secretary and Vice President, Activities. Kathleen Lane has been elected as Vice President, Activities. Kathleen had been holding the position in an interim capacity.

Kathleen Lane: 485 votes 57%
Kate Snedeker: 335 votes 39%

Total Votes: 851 (of 13,549 voting members)

The President position was uncontested and Isabelle Daigneault was acclaimed for a second term.

The position of Secretary will be filled by existing board member Patrick Murdoch who was appointed to the position by the board, and who has held the position of VP Services & Athletics.

Kathleen, Isabelle, and Patrick will serve three-year terms in their roles, beginning at the conclusion of the club’s 2025 Annual General Meeting.

We extend our sincere thanks to all applicants for their interest and for their continued involvement in The Alpine Club of Canada.

We also thank our members who participated in the voting process.

With the appointment of Patrick Murdoch to the position of Secretary, the position of VP Services & Athletics is now vacant.

Conformément aux règlements du club CAC, nous avons le plaisir d’annoncer les résultats du cycle d’élection de 2025 pour le conseil d’administration du Club Alpin du Canada:

Trois postes étaient à pourvoir en 2025, soit ceux de président, de secrétaire et de vice-président aux activités.

Kathleen Lane a été élue vice-présidente des activités. Kathleen occupait ce poste à titre intérimaire.

Le poste de président n’a pas été contesté et Isabelle Daigneault a été élue par acclamation pour un second mandat.

Le poste de secrétaire sera occupé par Patrick Murdoch, membre actuel du conseil d’administration, qui a été nommé à ce poste par le conseil d’administration et qui a occupé le poste de vice-président des services et des sports.

Kathleen, Isabelle et Patrick exerceront leurs fonctions pendant trois ans, à compter de la fin de l’assemblée générale annuelle du club en 2025.
